AWD Website Transformation – Modern UX, Auction System Integration & Global Branding

Scope of Work: Complete website redesign and development, content restructuring, feature enhancement, and legacy system migration.

AWD is a well-established company specializing in securing and fulfilling government contracts on a global scale. Their online presence required a modern, professional upgrade to reflect their reputation and accommodate new service offerings.

The original website, developed several years ago, had become outdated in terms of design, responsiveness, and functionality. Our mission was to revamp and enhance the entire website using the WordPress Porto Theme, aligning it with contemporary standards while preserving critical business functionalities such as the vehicle auction system and user database.

Our Approach & Deliverables:

  1. Modern Redesign Using Porto Theme:
    • Implemented a clean, mobile-responsive, and visually engaging design using the WordPress Porto Theme.
    • Created a layout that aligned with AWD’s brand identity, incorporating smooth animations, subtle parallax effects, and a global visual aesthetic.
  2. Vehicle Auctions Module (Legacy Preservation):
    • Migrated the entire WP Auctions plugin system, preserving the complete vehicle auction database and 1500+ registered users.
    • Styled the auction pages to match the new theme while ensuring seamless functionality.
    • Created a placeholder page for periods without active auctions, displaying the message:
      “There are currently no vehicles available for auction at this time.” with a full-width header image of vehicles.
  3. Content & Service Expansion:
    • Added new service sections highlighting AWD’s expanded capabilities.
    • Included past project overviews to establish credibility and reinforce expertise in the government contracting space.
  4. Client Showcase & Animation Features:
    • Developed a scrolling logo carousel to display client logos, inspired by the Bridge theme design patterns.
    • Included global animation visuals demonstrating AWD’s worldwide reach via lines and motion stemming from the logo.
  5. Database & Email Integration:
    • Migrated the existing user database with no data loss.
    • Integrated the system with Mailchimp for streamlined auction notifications and updates.
  6. Social Media Integration:
    • Set up professional business profiles for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, complete with branded profile imagery, company descriptions, and visual consistency with the website.
  7. Performance & Testing:
    • Optimized the site for speed, accessibility, and SEO.
    • Thoroughly tested across all devices and browsers to ensure smooth performance and responsiveness.

The result is a sleek, professional, and future-ready website that accurately reflects AWD’s global operations and professionalism.
