Customized WordPress Website Enhancements for Terry Suffredini – The Engineers Coach

Client is dedicated to empowering engineers and professionals to find fulfillment and success in their careers. Her brand, The Engineers Coach, offers coaching services, continuing education resources, and inspirational content aimed at engineers and related professionals.

Client Requirements:
Terry wanted multiple specific updates and customizations to her WordPress website to improve usability, branding consistency, and user engagement. Key requests included refining the homepage slider, updating navigation menus, styling changes for better readability, adding a new dedicated page for attorneys, and enhancing the contact form functionality.

What We Did:

• Homepage Slider:

  Cropped the main image by her hands for a focused look (matching the style on the About page). Removed numbered accountant elements and replaced them with bullet points for cleaner presentation.

   

• Menu Bar & New Pages:

  Added a “Continuing Education” menu item linking to the Texas Engineers’ CEP info page. Created a new “Attorneys” page with targeted content addressing attorney challenges and career frustrations.

   

• About Page Styling:

  Updated button colors to the client’s brand red for “Our Mission,” “Terry Will,” and “FAQs” sections to increase visual impact. Styled FAQ questions in bold, answers in normal weight for clarity. Changed all website text to Arial font with larger sizing for better readability. Adjusted margins to create a taller, narrower text block for an improved layout. Modified the bottom button text to “#LoveMyJob – Do You?” linking to an article Terry is writing.

   

• Homepage Content Adjustments:

  Removed “Next Event” section, “So what are you waiting for,” “Work with us,” and the four-square blocks above the blog to simplify the homepage. Replaced the “FREE Giveaway” section with the branded “#LoveMyJob” message. Added multiple inspirational quotes to the rotating quote section as provided by the client.

   

• Contact Page Form Enhancements:

  Added new subject fields: Preferred Phone Number, Good Time To Talk, and a Time Zone dropdown (Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific). Configured the form to send submissions directly to terry@theengineerscoach.com. Implemented functionality to automatically collect and compile submitted emails into a mailing list for follow-up communications.

Delivered a polished, user-friendly WordPress site that closely aligned with Terry’s brand identity and functional needs. The website now features a visually cohesive design, streamlined navigation, enhanced engagement tools, and improved form usability—helping Terry better connect with engineers and professionals seeking her coaching expertise.
